Gone to stay

A relaxed and familiar working atmosphere like at LIS AG has many advantages – not only for the employees. A good working atmosphere also pays off for employers, especially in times such as these, when skilled workers are being sought everywhere. For example, because employees who have basically already decided to turn their backs on the company do not leave – or return after a short time, like Adrian Hoffmann.
The 34-year-old spent four years working in project management at LIS in Memmingen when he decided to move to Denmark in autumn 2018 for love’s sake. However, Hoffmann maintained his relationship with the company even after his employment ended. “I was still in close contact with old colleagues and superiors,” he reports. When the new Dane then went into business for himself as a logistics consultant in the spring of this year, it was obvious for both sides to continue working together. “Basically, I continue where I left off in October last year. Only that my desk is now in Denmark,” laughs Hoffmann.
When he’s not sitting there working in the home office, he looks after LIS customers on site. He often spends three weeks a month on the road.
In the end, LIS could even benefit from the move of its old, new employee to Denmark. Namely, by acquiring new customers there. At any rate, the first steps in this direction have already been taken. And who knows: Perhaps the future will show that the foundations are being laid for a new LIS country representation.
