    Length of service:

I work since 01.07.2013 at LIS.

    My tasks in the department:

As a trainer I am responsible for the organization and coordination of the entire training. In addition, as a customer service team, we support our customers in all matters relating to WinSped.

    What I like about LIS:

Everyone at LIS stands for the other. That’s one aspect that I really appreciate here. I enjoy working in a team and I feel very comfortable in this family atmosphere. In addition, I always have the opportunity at LIS to continue my education and to realize my personal professional goals.

My hobbies or what I like to do in my spare time:

I am a passionate cook, I enjoy going to sports and traveling is also an important aspect for me. However, sometimes helps the PlayStation when switching off from everyday life.

    What is education for me?:

For me, training means developing yourself personally and professionally by acquiring and applying knowledge and the resulting experience.

What good can I do for the trainees or give them to take along:

As a contact person I am always available for all questions and concerns. I listen to them and together we try to find a solution. It is important to me to accompany our apprentices on the way to a successful vocational qualification.

    Length of service:

On 01.08.2007 my employment started at LIS.

    My tasks in the department:

In addition to the management of the technical department, I also take over the training in this area. In addition, I am responsible for our fleet.

    What I like about LIS:

At LIS you just feel good. With LIS you are not just a personnel number. I really appreciate the family atmosphere here.

My hobbies or what I like to do in my spare time:

For me, sport is a good balance to the workday. In addition, I often go to concerts and make myself comfortable after work or on weekends with a good book.

    What is education for me?:

Training, in my opinion, is the best way to learn both theoretically and practically all that is of importance for the future profession.

What good can I do for the trainees or give them to take along:

It is important to me that the apprentices can later work independently in the profession they have learned. It makes me proud if an apprentice passes his exam well and then succeeds in working life.

    Christopher Essing

    Length of service:

I started at LIS as a dual student on 01.08.2012..

    My tasks in the department:

Besides being the Training Supervisor in our department, I work here as a software developer. For some time now I have been a core developer in the area of geoinformation systems and therefore I am especially concerned with the integration of maps, route calculations or an automated route formation in WinSped. Furthermore, I am part of our DevOps team, which gives me the opportunity to analyse and optimize our internal systems and the corresponding processes and to incorporate innovations.

    What I like about LIS:

Besides the varied tasks I especially like the working atmosphere and the interaction between colleagues. You always know that the colleagues are reliable and that no one is on their own, not even when facing challenges.

My hobbies or what I like to do in my spare time:

I try to compensate for the lack of exercise in the office by going running on a regular basis. Apart from the typical free time activities (going to the cinema, amusement parks, …) I also enjoy a relaxed evening on the couch.

    What is education for me?:

For me, training in the sense of vocational training is about teaching the basics that are relevant for my future work life. Since innovations occur rather often in our field, training in general is a long process of personal and professional development. Through vocational training or dual studies, we try to introduce young colleagues to this process and prepare them for the future in the best possible way.

What good can I do for the trainees or give them to take along:

I believe the good results of the trainees from the last years have shown that we as a company offer a good basis for professional development. However, in my opinion, an essential point for (professional) success is also the personal attitude and motivation with which one approaches challenges. Therefore, I can only say to future junior staff that they should not be discouraged by minor setbacks. It is important to learn from mistakes and to react better in the next similar situation. Motivation, ambition and perseverance will pay off!
