Currently, almost all 150 employees of Logistische Informationssysteme AG work in their home offices. The reorganisation was not difficult for our company and took exactly one day. As a modern software company we had the advantage that all the conditions were in place to be able to work remotely. Most employees were already equipped with laptops which they can now use at home. In the end, it only took a few clicks in the IT department to activate access for all employees. Another advantage is the digitally mapped workflows that can be executed online, regardless of location.
The communication currently runs mainly via chat programs such as Slack, Skype, TeamSpeak and via the remote maintenance tool TeamViewer.
