Wish card campaign very well received

Today we handed over the parcels from our wish list campaign to the representatives of Caritas Emsdetten-Greven, LWL Jugendheim Tecklenburg and Evangelische Jugendhilfe Münsterland GmbH. In the next few days, they will be distributed to socially disadvantaged children and senior citizens from Münsterland. Over the past few weeks, our employees worked hard to get presents and to wrap them nicely to put a smile on people’s faces. Due to Corona, Christmas will be a time of sacrifice anyway, so this year it is even more important to bring joy with small details.

It was the first time that we carried out a donation campaign of this kind in the pre-Christmas period. Through the charitable and social institutions, we contacted the recipients in the region and gave them the opportunity to write wish lists. We collected around 80 individual wish cards. We hung them on a fir tree in the foyer of our company headquarters in Greven. Our employees could then pick them from the tree and fulfil the wishes on the pieces of paper. Within a few hours, all wish cards were taken. “Everyone put their heart and soul into getting and wrapping presents. It’s nice to see how much people enjoy giving each other pleasure,” says Wagner, who personally bought a remote-controlled car for a little boy. Other wish cards included warm socks, puzzles or board games. “I very much hope that the parcels will cause the eyes of the recipients to light up on Christmas Eve,” says Wagner, who is already planning to repeat the campaign in 2021.
