This year, we will be present for the first time when manufacturers, dealers and service providers from the commercial vehicle sector will meet at NUFAM in Karlsruhe from 26 to 29 September. The LIS cannot be missed at a trade fair that focuses on the future of the automotive industry. As the developer of the Transport Management Software (TMS) WinSped, we form an essential interface between logistics and the manufacturing industry. Our highlights: the Automotive Center specially tailored to the needs of the automotive industry and the new TMS features ETA Center and ELLi.
Exhibition highlights at the LIS stand
The demands placed on the commercial vehicle industry are constantly increasing: short innovation cycles, widely distributed production facilities and the high demands of the end customer. A functioning logistics chain is decisive for competition. WinSped ensures efficient processes in freight processing, and the WinLager solution is a sensible addition to the warehouse. We will focus on three modules at NUFAM:
- The new WinSped module ETA Center enables the exact forecast of arrival times. When calculating the ETA, several systems and players play together. “We have captured the complexity in our solution and managed to eliminate sources of error in the prediction of arrival times,” says our CEO Magnus Wagner. This results in exact data, which simplifies the planning of goods flows. This enables freight forwarders and transport service providers to proactively inform their customers about the current delivery status.
- The second new development, the electronic loading list ELLi, simplifies data transmission between the warehouse and scheduling. The application not only makes it possible to record and check off the processes involved in hall handling by mobile phone or tablet, but also to transfer them directly in real time to the dispatching department, where they can be processed immediately. “The processing of incoming and outgoing goods by means of paper and pen is now a thing of the past,” says Wagner.
- No novelty from this year and still of great importance for NUFAM visitors: the Automotive Center. The system is specially designed to meet the needs of manufacturers. VW, Audi, Skoda, Porsche, MAN, Scania and Daimler, for example, use this solution to handle their transports. All VDA plant structures are taken into account and the system also supports the processes of regional forwarding agents and cross docking. “The WinSped Automotive Center immensely improves the recording and scheduling of VDA orders,” says Wagner.
