New WinSped module bundles dangerous goods data

The transport of dangerous goods requires special attention and care from all parties involved. It is now easier than ever for WinSped users to keep an eye on all data associated with transports of this type. This is made possible by the new WinSped Dangerous Goods Centre. The module includes the configuration and maintenance of master data, offers comprehensive possibilities for the evaluation and analysis of transports and allows the creation of printouts. The Dangerous Goods Center thus bundles all previous programs relevant to dangerous goods and considerably simplifies handling in this way. In addition, the new tool is based on the .NET programming language. This not only enables a more attractive design of the graphical user interfaces, but also has the advantage that additions and improvements can be implemented much more quickly. This does not affect the recording or modification of shipment data with dangerous goods properties.

“Combining the various functions in a single module makes work much easier for dispatchers,” explains LIS product expert Thomas Meyer. “In addition, we have closed a decisive gap with the Dangerous Goods Centre. This means that the user can now also carry out research and analyses based on the respective dangerous goods. “As a dispatcher, I can access all important data with just a few clicks. On the other hand, I can now just as easily check and trace whether errors occurred, for example, when importing or recording transport data,” says Meyer. This is an invaluable advantage, especially in the highly regulated dangerous goods sector.
