Logistics & Distribution: TMS WinSped simplifies disposition of groupage shipments

The Logistische Informationssysteme AG (LIS) presents its Transport Management System (TMS) WinSped at the exhibition Logistics & Distribution in Zurich. On 22nd and 23rd April the developer of software solutions for logistics service providers shows how transport and warehouse processes can be digitally mapped with WinSped. LIS will present its graphic disposition for groupage freight forwarders as a novelty at the fair. A further highlight at stand 5G19 in hall 5 is the electronic loading list ELLi.

“By bundling different shipments, a not insignificant part of the transport costs can be saved. But for this, the groupage freight forwarder has to plan his routes logistically in advance, taking into account the time and traffic aspects. With our new tool, we are helping them to do this,” explains Magnus Wagner, CEO of Logistische Informationssysteme AG. With the new WinSped module dispatchers can intuitively and quickly bundle and plan general cargo from different original senders to different recipients. Up to 1,000 shipments can be dispatched within 3 seconds. The dispatcher can individually adjust the layout of the group headers for each groupage shipment. The groupage freight forwarder Logwin is already convinced of the advantages of WinSped a few weeks after the introduction of the software in the company. According to the employees the transparency in the dispatching was significantly increased. The transports could now be optimally controlled, especially with regard to quality aspects.

Visitors to the fair in Zurich can also get to know ELLi, the electronic loading list for unlabelled packages. With the WinSped module all unloading and loading processes during hall handling can not only be recorded and checked off effortlessly by mobile phone or tablet, but also transferred directly to the disposition.

At the exhibition interested parties have the opportunity to look at these and other WinSped applications and to test them with demo versions.
