LogiMAT: LIS AG presents two new developments

At LogiMAT in Stuttgart from 31 May to 2 June 2022, LIS Logistische Informationssysteme AG will be demonstrating how innovative software solutions can make logistics processes more flexible and efficient. This time, the Greven-based company will focus on two new tools at the exhibition in the Baden-Württemberg capital: the LIS Warehouse Management (LWM) and the Workflow Manager. The cloud-based warehouse management software organises the internal material flow of Third Party Logistics (3PL) warehouses and distribution centres. With the Workflow Manager included as standard in WinSped, users can create their own workflows and thus simplify them considerably.

“Not least due to the Corona pandemic, the transport market is extremely volatile at the moment. Flexibility and powerful planning software are the prerequisites for operating successfully even under these conditions,” says Magnus Wagner, Executive Board Member of LIS Logistische Informationssysteme AG. LIS offers the necessary systems for this, which have been tried and tested in practice many times.

A new addition to the programme is LIS Warehouse Management. The cloud-based warehouse management system is industry-independent and particularly tailored to European 3PL providers. Via the data cloud, various processes such as incoming and outgoing goods, inventory and capacity management or order picking can be viewed and flexibly controlled in real time with an end device connected to the internet. With this new development, the software house previously known for its transport management system (TMS) WinSped wants to offer its customers holistic solutions from a single source. The warehouse management software is available as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), either fully integrated in the WinSped package or as a stand-alone system. Suitable interfaces and converters enable simple connection and integration into external IT landscapes.

Also new in the LIS portfolio is the Workflow Manager. It can be used to configure and automate status-based processes in WinSped in an uncomplicated way and thus simplify them considerably. The Workflow Manager is already included as standard in the current WinSped version and allows users to freely define routines. For example, it can be specified that Customer Service is immediately notified by e-mail as soon as the acceptance of a consignment has been refused. The Workflow Manager now automatically initiates the further steps: Why was acceptance refused? What should happen to the programme? This is now done until the process is completed.

Interested parties can get to know the new tools and many other WinSped applications at the LIS stand (F44) in Hall 8. Guests will also have the opportunity to get an impression of the products themselves by means of demo versions.
