LIS inaugurates third office building in Greven

Logistische Informationssysteme AG (LIS) inaugurated its new, third office building in Greven today (21 February 2020). The company invited not only its employees to the ceremony, but also all architects and craftsmen involved. From now on, around 40 programmers and developers of the software specialist will work in the 1,200 square meter office building. With the new building, LIS covers the increased space requirements due to the increased number of orders and is at the same time committed to the Greven location. The management also used the celebrations to honour the company’s jubilees for their many years of loyalty.

“We want our employees to feel comfortable at work. To achieve this, they need not only ergonomic and well-equipped workplaces, but also opportunities to retreat,” says Magnus Wagner, CEO of Logistische Informationssysteme AG. In addition to office space, LIS therefore has a loft with more than 200 square metres of floor space in the new building with an integrated kitchen. The spacious roof terrace offers sufficient space for joint festivities. A table tennis table, a basketball court and a small soccer field for the employees are also currently under construction.

During the planning phase, the software specialist placed great emphasis on sustainable construction. For example, the building meets the KfW-55 standard and is therefore particularly energy efficient. Most of the energy is supplied by a heat pump and a photovoltaic system installed on the roof. LIS invested around 2.4 million euros in the new building.

In the course of the celebrations, the LIS management also honoured the company’s jubilees for their commitment and long-standing loyalty. “Our employees are our greatest asset. I am very pleased that many of them stay with us for a long time,” said Wagner. But there was one farewell: Ulrike Wagner, who had been working in the accounting department for 38 years, dismissed the management into a well-deserved retirement.
