IHK honours trainees and teaching at LIS

Once again, two of our trainees passed their final examinations with the grade “very good”. They are thus among the best graduates from the Münsterland region and the northern Ruhr area. The newly qualified IT specialists received special recognition from the North Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce. We as a company were also honoured for our successful training work.

“The trainees of today are the experts of tomorrow. First-class vocational training for our junior staff is therefore of central importance for us and the entire industry,” explains our trainer Christopher Essing. At our Greven site, Céline Middendorf and Stefan Arnold passed their final examinations as IT specialists with the highest marks. “We congratulate both of them on their excellent results. This is an award for them and our company at the same time,” says Essing.

Training and studies in one

By completing their vocational training, both junior employees have reached the first milestone of their dual studies at Münster University of Applied Sciences. In the coming months they will focus on their studies and on working in the company. “We are pleased to be able to continue to accompany them in the future and to benefit from their progress during their work phases in the company,” explains Essing.

He himself was one of the first dual students at our company a few years ago and was also honored by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in 2015. At the beginning of the year, he took over the position of trainer from his colleague Mirko Venker, who, as head of the software development department, remains in close contact with the trainees and is very pleased about the good grades of the young people.

One apprenticeship place for the start date August 2020 is still available

In the meantime, however, we are already focusing our attention on the upcoming training start in August. “Despite the Corona crisis, we will continue to train as planned this year,” emphasizes Essing.

A large proportion of the apprenticeship places for 2020 have already been filled. However, we still have one training place to offer in the area of IT for application development (quality management department).
