We are celebrating 44 years of successful company history. From the development of our first transport management solution SPEDIA to today’s cloud-based warehouse management system, our company has continuously evolved without losing sight of our core vision. Since 1980, LIS has stood for innovation and continuous development – and continues to do so. Our vision is to set new standards in the logistics sector with new and proven partners, pioneering technologies and clear objectives. We keep a close eye on developments in the industry in order to continuously improve our solutions and always be able to offer our customers the most innovative products.

Progress over four decades
“Our 44th anniversary shows that we are on the right track with our innovative strength and customer focus,” explains our Co-CEO Magnus Wagner. In recent years, LIS has made particularly great progress in the digitalisation and automation of logistics processes and is constantly developing its software solutions to meet the growing demands of the industry.
This innovative strength is reflected in our core product: the WinSped Transport Management System (TMS). Back in 1990, LIS launched its predecessor SPEDIA – an innovative, industry-leading product that could be used on network-compatible computers for the first time. The successor WinSped appeared in 1997 and is still one of the company’s greatest successes today: Since its launch, the TMS has established itself as a market-leading solution for freight forwarders and logistics companies in Europe. With locations in 5 countries, over 1,200 customers and around 29,000 users, including some of the largest haulage companies in Europe, we prove our ability to adapt to constantly changing market requirements.

New developments
In recent years, we have not only continuously developed our core product WinSped, but also introduced new innovative solutions to the market. We now offer the cloud-based LIS Warehouse Management (LWM). The software optimises the internal material flow: Processes for incoming and outgoing goods, inventory and capacity management as well as picking can be flexibly controlled via this system.
New standards in data security
With the increased use of cloud solutions and digital technologies, the importance of a secure IT infrastructure is also growing. In order to meet the high data security requirements, we comprehensively expanded our own data centre in 2020. This step was central to the certification according to the DIN EN 50600 and ISO 27001:2017 standards, the highest international standards for information security, which we finally received in 2022. This means that we are committed to the highest level of data security for the benefit of our customers.
Forward-looking partnership
The partnership with DKV Mobility, which has been in place since the end of 2022, was an important strategic step towards further expanding our offering and tapping into new markets. The cooperation with the leading European B2B platform for on-the-road payment solutions has considerable advantages for both parties. The focus here is particularly on expanding the digital offering: With the help of DKV Mobility, LIS can now make its products available to a larger number of customers and at the same time ensure that our existing customers continue to receive the best possible service. Meanwhile, DKV Mobility benefits from the comprehensive digital services and our expertise in software development.
Family values with a future
In addition to strong strategic partnerships, the family structure of our company remains central to future success. “The values of a family business still characterise us today. Our long-term thinking and our high quality standards are the key to our consistency and our success. We will continue to do everything we can to offer our customers innovative and sustainable solutions in the coming years,” explains Wagner. A particular focus for the coming years will be on the sustainable design of logistics processes and the use of innovative automation technologies to counter challenges such as the shortage of skilled labour.
