Our long-standing customer Krummen Kerzers from Switzerland has opened its first German location. From Weil am Rhein in Baden-Württemberg, the transport and logistics service provider will in future carry out up to 20 full load transports (FTL) of fresh goods per week, mainly in southern Germany. Our WinSped transport management software will also be used for this, because as Krummen Kerzers knows from the past: “Flexible software is essential to open up new markets and offer logistics services for a wide variety of industries.
In summer 2015, following problems with previous software, the company switched to Transport Management Software from LIS. “We were at the limit with our old software. It was too slow and unstable,” explained Peter Krummen, Managing Director of Krummen Kerzers AG, at the time. “Individual adaptations were expensive and took a long time to implement. That’s why we had to retool.”
At the three previous locations in Kerzers, Pratteln and Cadenazzo, the logistics service provider initially processed around 100,000 orders per year with the new LIS software. 69 trucks were also connected to the system at Krummen Kerzers. The Swiss company relies on various TMS modules, such as billing, scheduling, telematics integration, freight traffic, document management system and the WebSped online portal.
