BAM data for 2023 now available

New year, new BAM data. The dangerous goods database of the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (Official abbreviation: BAM) has updated the data for dangerous goods for the year 2023. These provide information on the labelling of dangerous goods and which special criteria must be respected during transport. The data refer to the transport modes road (ADR), rail (RID), sea (IMDG), air (ICAO) and inland waters (ADN).

BAM catalogue in the Dangerous goods module

The Dangerous goods module in our forwarding software WinSped has the optional BAM catalogue that can be added. With this, customers no longer have to enter the UN numbers of the dangerous goods manually, but can have them recorded automatically. Users thus always know exactly which special cases apply and how they must implement them.

LIS product expert Thomas Meyer explains: “This information system provides prepared and comprehensive information from the relevant dangerous goods regulations needed for the safe transport of dangerous goods”.

Customers who already have this module only need to update their data records, all it takes is a few clicks. New customers who have only now booked the module must first be licensed by LIS. We then import and configure the data and you too can benefit from our module. Our customer service will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

“The effort is also very manageable in this case. The benefits, on the other hand, are considerable,” says Meyer.
