Automotive Logistics Forum: LIS AG presents innovative automotive solutions

“Clear to cloudy. Clouds & Co. for Transparency and Resilience” is the motto of the Forum Automobile Logistics 2022, which will take place on 18 and 19 May at Messe Friedrichshafen. As a leading provider of transport management systems (TMS) for logistics, LIS Logistische Informationssysteme AG from Greven in Westphalia will be on site with specialist staff (Stand 19). This time the company will be focusing on its Automotive Center for process-oriented notification and order processing in the VDA environment as well as its new LIS Cloud Services. The trade exhibition will be open to visitors from 9:30 to 19:00.

In the automotive industry in particular, production and logistics have become increasingly intertwined in recent years. “Digitalisation offers great potential in this respect, for example by simplifying the networking of different business areas and actors and optimising processes. With our WinSped module Automotive Center, we offer the right tools for this,” says Magnus Wagner, CEO of LIS Logistische Informationssysteme AG.

The LIS system offers solutions for process-oriented notification and order processing in the VDA environment and is accordingly specially geared to automotive transports in full, empty and inter-plant traffic. The processes of area freight forwarders and cross docking are also supported. Taking into account the VDA plant structures, the LIS solution guides the user through the entire process and as a result leads to a significant increase in efficiency when entering and scheduling VDA orders.

The freight forwarding software supports the common VDA interfaces and can be connected to the individual, web-based exchange platforms of major German manufacturers, such as the Discovery Portal of the Volkswagen Group and the BMW CSC Portal.

The new LIS Cloud Services also promise significant efficiency gains. WinSped users can access the transport management system via the data cloud using all common browsers, regardless of location. “In this way, we offer our customers maximum security, performance and independence,” says Wagner. In addition to the adaptability and resilience gained, users of the LIS Cloud also benefit from numerous other advantages. For example, backup and update services are automatically installed. In addition, the costs for the otherwise mandatory hardware and its maintenance are eliminated and thus also the effort for implementation as well as the IT staff for data backup. In addition, the connection of further devices and workstations is completely problem-free.
